Steel Challenge Competition

SAT, Feb 18 @ 9:00AM

ALL WELCOME No pre-registration necessary
Check-in 8:30, $20 NonMembers, $15 Members

Are you ready to challenge yourself
to speed & accuracy?

Imagine yourself in an ambush or being approached by a group of thugs… how fast will you be able to take them out before they get a shot at you?  This match is ideal for first time competitors who want to increase their reactionary speed level toward their target. Steel Challenge scoring is simple: your time is your score. There are five targets, commonly referred to as plates. Four are primary plates, and the fifth is designated as the stop plate. Each of the primary targets must be hit at least once during each string of fire, followed by the stop plate, which must be hit last to stop the time. Competitors may fire as many rounds as they deem necessary for each string of fire. The best four out of five strings will be counted as the total score for each stage, except for Outer Limits, which will be the best three out of four runs. Total score for all stages will determine the order of finish for final standings.

Steel Challenge

SCSA Steel Challenge matches will now be held on the
THIRD SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH
from now on unless directed otherwise. Sign-up will begin at
8:30am, Shooters meeting/brief at 9:00am, and shooting by 9:15.
We will host a couple of "new shooter clinics" over the next couple of months
to bring, as the name states, new shooters up to
speed on our rules, safety, and basics.
