The NRA FIRST Steps Pistol is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type for classes of four or fewer students. This course is at least three hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, First Steps course completion certificate, and Lesson Plan.

These courses are instructed by an outside agency and are conducted at the range and will include practical pistol, carbine and shotgun applications, defensive shooting, problem solving, care, cleaning and maintenance.

Ancient City Shooting Range (ACSR), is an exclusive membership only outdoor shooting range in northeast Florida. Ancient City Shooting Range offers courses in tactical pistol, shotgun and rifle, concealed carry (concealed weapon class), basic through advanced handgun/carbine safety courses, personal protection, NRA certified courses and self defense classes for men and women of all ages as well as team building classes for groups/corporate. Corporate security classes are varied from threat assessment to explosives detection and/or primary protection.
Our outdoor shooting range is an exclusive membership only outdoor shooting range designed for pistol, rifle and archery. Ancient City Shooting Range is a Class 3 dealer with an SOT and welcomes all calibers up to and including .45, shotguns up to 10 gauge, black powder, automatic assault rifles and archery. Ancient City Shooting Range's certified range officers will be facilitating civilian and law enforcement/military ranges offering training on state-of-the-art advanced moving target systems.
